Several people allege that files move only after payments are made. Businessmen, contractors, and political workers reportedly face delays if they refuse to pay the demanded amounts. Minister office bribes are also creating embarrassment for senior leaders in the government.
According to reports, some staff members allegedly fix rates based on the importance of a file. In certain cases, visitors reportedly pay money just to secure a meeting with ministers. Officials and political leaders are said to be unhappy with the growing influence of these staff members.
The allegations have also raised concerns about corruption in postings, land dealings, and departmental approvals. Critics say such practices damage public trust and hurt the image of the government. Telangana’s Anti-Corruption Bureau has repeatedly warned citizens against bribery and encouraged people to report corruption complaints.
