Rove Beetles in Thadepalligudem have created concern among residents of Jagannathapuram village in West Godavari district. The insect problem has increased over the past month, leaving many people worried about their health and safety.
Residents say Rove Beetles in Thadepalligudem are frequently appearing in homes and nearby areas. Experts warn that when these insects are crushed on the skin, they release a toxic substance called pederin. This chemical can cause severe skin irritation, rashes, burning sensations, and painful blisters.
Children and elderly people have been affected the most. Villagers have asked authorities to take immediate steps to control the insect population and prevent further problems.
Rove beetles are commonly found in moist places such as agricultural fields and gardens. Experts advise people not to crush the insects. Instead, they should gently brush them away from the skin.
People can reduce exposure by using mosquito nets, installing window screens, and limiting bright lights at night, as the insects are attracted to light sources.
