An Air India Flight Threat caused concern on Thursday after a bomb alert was received for flight AI188 from Toronto to Delhi. The plane, carrying passengers and crew, landed safely in the national capital around 3:40 p.m., according to officials.

During the flight’s cruise, Air India received a security alert, and the crew immediately followed all safety protocols. “Passenger safety was our top priority,” said an Air India spokesperson. After landing, security teams began mandatory checks on the aircraft as per protocol.

The Delhi Police confirmed that they received the threat message in the morning. The Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC) reviewed the alert and classified it as “non-specific.” All passengers and crew members disembarked safely, and no injuries were reported.

The flight, operated with a Boeing 777, had a journey time of over 15 hours. Authorities have strengthened airport security nationwide following the recent blast in Delhi, which has raised safety concerns.

Officials have also implemented secondary ladder-point checks for all flights as an added precaution. Despite the scare, normal airport operations continued smoothly, and passengers praised the crew for their calm and professional response during the incident.
