The investigation into the Ajit Pawar plane crash took a key step forward on Thursday after officials recovered the aircraft’s black box in Baramati. The discovery is expected to help investigators understand the events that led to the Ajit Pawar plane crash and identify possible technical or operational issues.
The Director General of the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) reached Baramati soon after the incident. Three senior officials accompanied him. The team began an on-site inspection and coordinated with local authorities to secure evidence.
Officials said the black box, which records flight data and cockpit conversations, will provide crucial information. Engineers will analyse the data to reconstruct the final moments of the flight. Investigators will also examine weather conditions and maintenance records.
Local police assisted the AAIB team by managing the crash site and ensuring safety. Emergency teams completed debris clearance earlier in the day.
The central government has assured full support to the investigation. Authorities said they would share confirmed findings after a detailed analysis. The probe aims to ensure accountability and prevent similar incidents in the future.
