Amit Shah Questions Tejashwi Yadav’s ₹12 Lakh Crore Job Plan

Amit Shah questions Tejashwi Yadav ₹12 lakh crore job promise

Union Home Minister Amit Shah strongly questioned Tejashwi Yadav ₹12 lakh crore job promise during his visit to Bihar. Speaking at an event in Patna, Shah said that Tejashwi’s plan to provide a government job to one member in every household was unrealistic. He explained that Bihar has nearly 28 million families, and around 2 million people already have government jobs. Providing jobs to the remaining 26 million people would require an estimated ₹12 lakh crore.

Shah pointed out that Bihar’s total annual budget is only ₹3.25 lakh crore, making such a massive employment promise impossible. He accused the RJD leader of misleading the state’s youth with false assurances just to gain political support. Shah also added that even offering basic C and D grade jobs to such a large number of people would be financially unmanageable.

Calling the promise baseless, Shah urged Bihar’s youth to see the economic truth behind such claims. His remarks have sparked fresh political debate ahead of the upcoming elections.
