Former TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy launched a strong attack on TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, questioning whether Srivani Trust funds are now benefiting his family. Addressing the media in Tirupati, Bhumana accused Chandrababu of spreading false propaganda in the past by alleging corruption in the Srivani Trust and claiming that its funds were diverted. He pointed out that during Chandrababu’s rule, the trust received no significant contributions, whereas under Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan, Srivani has collected ₹2,038 crore since 2019, enabling the construction of over 3,500 temples across the country. He highlighted that 300 of these temples were completely renovated and said the initiative would have expanded nationwide if Jagan’s governance had continued. Bhumana criticized Chandrababu for now praising the same trust he once maligned and urged him to acknowledge Jagan’s achievements. He also condemned TDP leaders for inappropriate remarks and defended the use of Srivani funds for temple development.
