Officials said all passengers were safely deboarded and moved to a secure area at the airport. No injuries were reported during the operation.
Preliminary checks did not find any explosive material. Officials said further investigation is underway to identify the source of the note and determine whether it was a hoax.
IndiGo said it fully cooperated with security agencies and followed all safety procedures. The airline arranged assistance for passengers affected by the diversion.
Airport operations at Ahmedabad continued without major disruption. Authorities said strict action will be taken if the threat is found to be false.
