In the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, a heated debate unfolded on Thursday regarding the PRC (Pay Revision Commission) restructuring and pending payments to government employees. Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav struggled to provide direct answers, leading to political criticism and pointed remarks from opposition leader Botsa Satyanarayana.

YSRCP MLAs initially raised concerns about the ₹30,000 crore dues owed to employees, including pending DA arrears and pensions ranging from ₹15 to ₹20 lakh per retiree. Botsa criticized the government for failing to appoint the PRC chairman despite being in power for over a year, accusing them of mismanaging employee welfare. He demanded transparency regarding past and current payments and challenged the minister to account for the use of ₹21,000 crore in employee funds by the previous administration.

When Finance Minister Keshav did not respond satisfactorily, YSRCP legislators staged a walkout in protest, signaling their dissatisfaction with the government’s handling of employee dues and PRC implementation.
