BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha made strong allegations after the Jubilee Hills by-election result. She accused Congress candidate Naveen Yadav of winning through threats and rowdy behavior. While speaking to the media after counting, she claimed that Congress forced voters to support them. She also alleged that several parties helped Congress carry out large-scale rigging during polling.
Sunitha stated that Congress created fear among voters throughout the campaign. She said the party “won through muscle power” and not through genuine public support. She added that this victory did not reflect a fair mandate. Sunitha also mentioned that her late husband Gopinath’s presence earlier prevented such tactics, and people used to behave differently then.
The BRS leader said she believed she earned moral victory despite the final numbers. She dismissed the idea that KCR’s limited campaigning affected her performance. Sunitha also expressed anger over the behavior inside the counting centre. She claimed BRS leaders faced harassment and disrespect, even about their sarees, which deeply hurt them.
She further claimed that rowdy activities already began in Jubilee Hills after the win. Sunitha also criticized the Election Commission, saying it failed in managing the by-election. She demanded accountability for the issues she highlighted.
