Reports say that RJD leader Dularchand Yadav was run over after a violent clash between JDU’s Anant Singh and Jan Suraj Party’s Piyush Priyadarshi supporters. The post-mortem shows that a heavy vehicle passed over him, causing his death. Police believe it was a planned attack, but CID is still confirming the motive.
More than 80 people have been arrested, including Anant Singh, while Piyush Priyadarshi will also be taken into custody. Anant Singh, now in judicial custody, accused Suraj Bhan Singh, husband of RJD candidate Veena Devi, of a political conspiracy. Suraj Bhan denied the charge.
The case has turned Mokama tense and divided during the election season. The CID investigation continues to find the real reason behind Dularchand Yadav’s death.
