Mumbai Police placed the city on high alert on Friday after a shocking terror threat. A message claimed that 34 human bombs carrying 400 kg of RDX have been planted in vehicles across the city, warning that a massive blast would “shake the entire city.”
According to officials, the threat was received on the Mumbai Traffic Police helpline via WhatsApp. The caller, identifying the group as Lashkar-e-Jihadi, also claimed that 14 Pakistani terrorists have entered India to execute the attack.
Security forces have been deployed at sensitive locations across Mumbai. Intensive checks are being conducted on vehicles and public areas. Police said all angles of the human bomb threat are being investigated to ensure public safety.
The incident has triggered panic in several parts of the city, but Mumbai Police has appealed for calm. They assured that strict surveillance and preventive measures are underway to counter any possible threat.
Authorities said they are not taking the claims lightly, given Mumbai’s past terror experiences. The city remains on high alert while investigations continue.
