Constitution Day Power Message takes center stage this year as Prime Minister Narendra Modi shares a heartfelt letter with the citizens of India. In his Constitution Day Power Message, he reminds the nation that the Constitution has empowered even an ordinary person from a poor family to rise to the post of Prime Minister.

Modi emphasizes that constitutional duties build the foundation of a strong democracy. He urges every citizen to strengthen the democratic process by using their right to vote. He also encourages schools and colleges to celebrate Constitution Day with pride and honour young people who have become first-time voters at the age of 18.

The Prime Minister recalls Mahatma Gandhi’s belief that rights naturally arise from the performance of duties. He explains that fulfilling duties drives social and economic progress. According to him, the decisions and actions taken today will influence the lives of future generations.

Modi reflects on his emotional moments with the Constitution, such as bowing before Parliament in 2014 and touching the Constitution with respect in 2019. He says the Constitution remains a sacred guide for India’s development and a symbol of equal opportunity for all.
