The student had died in January in Patna while preparing for the NEET exam. Police first treated the case as suicide. However, her parents alleged rape and murder and demanded a deeper probe. Authorities later handed the case to the CBI.
Earlier this week, the family found another note warning them to stop pursuing the case. The message threatened their son with harm.
The parents have requested police protection. Officers have increased security near their house. Meanwhile, the CBI team continues questioning locals and collecting evidence.
