Devarakonda Tour Sparks Bold Welfare Push

Revanth Reddy Devarakonda visit highlights welfare claims as Congress pushes ration cards and women empowerment programs.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy toured Devarakonda in Nalgonda district as part of the Praja Palana–Praja Vijayotsavam programs. He launched several development works and interacted with local residents. Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy joined the visit and explained the government’s ongoing welfare efforts. He said public issues are receiving priority under the Congress administration.

Uttam Kumar Reddy stated that the government issued 14,000 ration cards in Devarakonda. Families also receive quality rice through fair-price shops. He contrasted this with the BRS term, claiming the previous government failed to issue a single ration card. Congress, he said, distributed one lakh cards in Nalgonda district within two years.

The minister stressed women’s empowerment as a key target. Free bus travel, interest-free loans, solar power units, and petrol bunks now support women’s income growth. The government also created Indira Mahila Shakti Bazaar at Shilparamam to help women market their products. These schemes aim to build long-term financial strength.

He urged people to ignore opposition criticism and focus on ongoing development. The government plans to expand welfare programs in the coming months. He added that Devarakonda will see more progress as new projects move forward.
