The Dhami urges youth to reject drugs in Uttarakhand campaign as the state marks the anniversary of the national drug-free initiative. Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami repeated the message that the future of Uttarakhand depends on strong, healthy, and disciplined young citizens. The Dhami urges youth to reject drugs in Uttarakhand campaign every year, but this year he stressed the issue with greater urgency.

Dhami said drugs weaken society and break families. He reminded the youth that addiction destroys physical health, mental strength, and career opportunities. He encouraged students and young professionals to take a clear stand against substance abuse.

To strengthen the fight, the government is opening new drug de-addiction centres across the state. These centres will support affected families with counselling, treatment, and rehabilitation. Dhami also highlighted the role of Dagadia Clubs, which promote sports, culture, and leadership among young people. These clubs help youth choose positive paths instead of harmful habits.

Dhami said the government’s mission is to build a “Drugs-Free Uttarakhand,” and he called on the community, families, and institutions to support the campaign. His message aims to inspire a collective movement that protects the state’s future.
