The grand Dussehra festivities at the Srisailam Mahakshetra in Andhra Pradesh are set to commence tomorrow and continue until October 2. Devotees and tourists can participate in the vibrant celebrations, which mark an important cultural and religious event in the region.
The festivities will officially begin at 9 AM with the ceremonial entry into the temple’s Yagashala. On the occasion of Mahanavami , October 1, the government will present ceremonial garments to Swami and Ammavaru as part of traditional rituals. Andhra Pradesh Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy is scheduled to participate in this significant event, underscoring its importance to the state.
The celebrations will conclude on October 2 with the grand Teppotsavam, a colorful float festival that attracts thousands of devotees to witness the divine spectacle on the temple tank. The annual event combines devotion, culture, and community participation, making Srisailam a major center for Dussehra festivities in Andhra Pradesh.
