Election machinery in Bihar became the centre of Tejashwi Yadav’s strong reaction after the Grand Alliance faced a heavy defeat. In an interview with Kapil Sibal, he spoke about the RJD’s performance and blamed the election machinery in Bihar for shaping the final outcome. He said democracy lost while the system won. He also accused the BJP of using every possible tactic during the campaign.
Tejashwi said he travelled across the state and sensed that people wanted a new Bihar. He claimed they wanted better income, medical support, education and real change. According to him, voters rejected the NDA but the machinery overturned their will. He said the government used every scheme the RJD planned, from welfare for women to free electricity.
He also claimed that money was distributed before voting. Under the Mahila Rozgar Yojana, funds reportedly reached women even on polling day. He argued that RJD’s vote share rose by 32 lakh votes, which showed rising support. Tejashwi added that even some winning MLAs from BJP and JDU were shocked by the results.
