Gehlot Slams Bangladesh Hindu Atrocities as former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed deep anguish over violence against Hindu minorities. Reacting on social media platform X, Gehlot described the incidents as a serious blot on humanity. He cited reports claiming that five Hindus were killed within just 19 days. He also raised concern over alleged violence against women in Bangladesh.

Gehlot recalled the leadership of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi during the 1971 Bangladesh liberation period. He said India then showed firm political will and reshaped both history and geography. He noted that India acted decisively despite pressure from powerful nations like the United States. According to him, that leadership protected human values and regional stability.

The Congress leader criticised the current Indian government’s foreign policy. He said it was worrying that a nation created with India’s support now appeared hostile. Gehlot termed the situation a diplomatic failure of the central government. He urged New Delhi to move beyond routine statements of concern.

Gehlot stressed that protecting minorities in neighbouring countries is India’s moral and diplomatic responsibility. He said history proves that slogans cannot save lives without decisive leadership. He appealed to the Prime Minister to intervene directly. He urged India to exert effective pressure on Bangladesh’s interim government.

The remarks have added political weight to the ongoing debate on India’s regional diplomacy and minority protection.
