The Telangana government expressed satisfaction following the Supreme Court’s dismissal of petitions challenging BC reservations. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka welcomed the ruling, describing it as a positive development for the implementation of backward class reservations in local bodies.
During the hearing, Ministers Ponnam and Vakiti were present at the Supreme Court, highlighting the state leadership’s active involvement in the case. Speaking to the media, Vikramarka emphasized that the verdict reinforces the government’s commitment to social justice and equitable representation for backward classes.
The decision was also appreciated by key political leaders outside the state, including MLC Theenmarr Mallanna in Delhi and Praja Shanti Party President K.A. Paul, who publicly welcomed the Supreme Court’s ruling. The verdict is expected to strengthen the implementation of reservation policies and provide clarity on the legal framework for backward class representation in Telangana, bringing relief to the government and beneficiaries alike.
