Independent MP Pappu Yadav said If Not Nitish Then Nishant should be the formula for the next Chief Minister in Bihar. He warned that people may not forgive political parties if someone else from the Bharatiya Janata Party becomes the CM.
Speaking to the media in Mathura, Yadav said voters in Bihar supported the leadership of Nitish Kumar. He added that if Nitish Kumar decides not to continue as Chief Minister, then his son Nishant Kumar should take the position. According to him, If Not Nitish Then Nishant reflects the public mandate in the state.
Yadav also accused the BJP of weakening regional parties. He said the people of Bihar voted for Nitish Kumar’s leadership, and replacing him with a BJP leader could anger voters.
During his visit, Yadav also offered prayers at the Dwarkadhish Temple and performed rituals on the banks of the Yamuna River.
