Bhojpuri star and singer Khesari Lal Yadav Chhapra seat is now the latest buzz in Bihar politics. The popular actor has officially entered politics, contesting the Khesari Lal Yadav Chhapra seat on an RJD ticket. Initially, the Rashtriya Janata Dal had allotted the seat to his wife Chanda Devi. However, a technical error in her voter record prevented her from filing her nomination.
After discussions with party leaders Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav, RJD swiftly changed its decision and handed the ticket to Khesari Lal Yadav himself. Khesari, who hails from Dhanadih village in Saran district, filed his nomination papers on Friday in Patna, officially beginning his political journey.
Sources say Khesari initially wanted to contest from Ekma, but RJD fielded him from Chhapra. The actor’s popularity has already heated the political atmosphere. Khesari will now face BJP’s Chhoti Kumari, a former district council president and wife of BJP leader Dharmendra Shah. The contest between a film icon and a local political face is drawing wide attention, adding a celebrity edge to the Chhapra race.
