Komatireddy Warns Legal Action Against Media Defaming Women Officers
Telangana Congress leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Friday issued a strong warning against media outlets and individuals attempting to tarnish the reputation of women officers through false reporting. Speaking from Hyderabad, he said that character assassination of women in public service is unacceptable and amounts to harassment, both legally and socially.
Komatireddy emphasized that the media has a responsibility to report facts accurately and avoid spreading unverified information that could harm professional and personal reputations. He stated that legal action would be initiated against anyone involved in defaming women officers, sending a clear message that such behavior will not be tolerated.
The Congress leader also called on authorities and professional organizations to support women in service, ensure their dignity, and promote a safe and respectful work environment. He highlighted the importance of protecting women officers to strengthen governance and public trust in institutions.
