The Konark Dance Festival Sand Art celebrations are set to begin on December 2, and Konark is ready to welcome thousands of visitors. The events highlight Odisha’s culture, classical dance, and global creativity.

Puri Collector and District Magistrate Dibya Jyoti Parida reviewed all major arrangements on Thursday. He checked the new light and sound system at the Sun Temple. He also inspected roads, entry points, and visitor facilities across Konark. As a result, different departments are now working together to ensure smooth movement and better safety.

Police held a flag march to spread awareness among tourists and locals. The Konark Dance Festival Sand Art programmes will run across multiple locations. The 36th Konark Dance Festival will take place from December 2 to 5 at the Konark Open-Air Auditorium. Meanwhile, the 15th International Sand Art Festival and Subhadra Mela will be held at Chandrabhaga beach. These events will draw artists and travellers from India and abroad.

In addition, the administration has improved lighting, sanitation, drinking water points, and parking. Traffic routes have also been planned to avoid congestion. Collector Parida said the focus is on safety, teamwork, and a smooth experience for everyone during the festival season.
