Lalu Yadav Targets Former Allies Ram Kripal Yadav and Shyam Rajak

Lalu Yadav Targets against Ram Kripal Yadav and Shyam Rajak

In Bihar Elections 2025, politics has taken an interesting turn as Lalu Yadav Targets campaign against Ram Kripal Yadav and Shyam Rajak, two of his former trusted associates. Once allies in the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), they now stand on opposite sides. Ram Kripal Yadav, contesting from Danapur as a BJP candidate, and Shyam Rajak, fighting from Phulwari Sharif on a JDU ticket, have both faced strong criticism from Lalu Yadav.

During his campaign, Lalu Yadav attacked Shyam Rajak for switching parties, calling such leaders unfaithful to the people. He urged voters to support the Grand Alliance’s CPI-ML candidate, Gopal Ravidas, in Phulwari Sharif. Similarly, in Danapur, Lalu supported RJD candidate Ritlal Yadav while accusing Ram Kripal Yadav of betrayal.

Ram Kripal responded, saying Lalu was backing a candidate with a criminal background. The rivalry deepened as both exchanged sharp political remarks. In 2020, the Grand Alliance had won both Danapur and Phulwari Sharif, while Lalu’s daughter Misa Bharti defeated Ram Kripal in Patliputra during the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
