A man beaten to death in Patna Parsa Bazar has triggered anger and concern among local residents. The victim, identified as 23-year-old Om Prakash alias Raja, died after a brutal assault late Sunday night.
According to family members, Om Prakash had gone out on his motorcycle on Sunday afternoon. When he did not return home, relatives began searching for him. Early Monday morning, they found him unconscious by the roadside near Tardwa village.
The family alleges that the man beaten to death in Patna Parsa Bazar was attacked by his brother-in-law and the man’s father. They claim the assault followed tension over Om Prakash’s inter-caste marriage. The attackers allegedly kidnapped him, beat him severely, and left him injured on the road.
Relatives rushed Om Prakash to a private hospital in Khajpura. Doctors tried to save him, but he died during treatment due to serious injuries.
The family says they first approached the Parsa Bazar police station but did not get immediate help. Later, police recorded their statement at the hospital. Officers have detained one suspect and started a detailed investigation.
