On Tuesday evening, the Mohaniya murder case created shock across the town. The Mohaniya murder case began when 28-year-old Halim Ali was attacked with sticks, bricks, and stones just 100 meters from the police station. The assault happened in Ward 12. Halim, a resident of Ward 9, died on the spot.
His family members, angry and heartbroken, blocked the GT Road and demanded quick action. The attackers fled immediately after the crime, and police teams started raids to trace them.
According to reports, Halim was riding to his elder brother’s school to pick up his daughter. When he reached Paswan Toli near the GT Road service lane, the accused stopped his bike and dragged him off. They beat him brutally and left him dead on the road.
As soon as his family heard the news, they rushed to the area, took the body, and protested near Sharda Brajrajar High School.
People raised slogans against the police, demanding immediate arrests. A special investigation team reached the spot, but the family continued their protest until action was promised.
