Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met Union ministers in New Delhi to seek support for the State’s capital, Amaravati, and to discuss financial matters. He requested the Centre to provide statutory backing for Amaravati to ensure smooth development and governance.
Naidu discussed the proposed Amaravati Capital Bill, which aims to give legal recognition to the capital city and protect its development plans. He highlighted the need for strong legal support so that Amaravati can grow as a modern and well-planned city.
Apart from the capital, the Chief Minister also spoke about state finances, including funding for infrastructure projects, welfare schemes, and irrigation works. He urged the Union Home and Finance Ministers to provide financial assistance to strengthen the State’s economy and speed up development programs.
Naidu emphasized the importance of cooperation between the State and Central government to ensure Amaravati’s success and overall growth of Andhra Pradesh.
