Telangana Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao reacted to ongoing farmer protests in the state over urea shortage. He clarified that the problem is not limited to Telangana but is a nationwide issue. Criticizing the opposition, he said some groups are deliberately spreading misinformation as if the crisis exists only in Telangana.
The minister held the central government responsible, stating that its negligence has created this situation. He demanded that the Centre release Telangana’s due share of urea by the end of this month. Responding to BJP leaders in the state, Tummala said those who have never even seen urea are now targeting him with baseless criticism.
He assured farmers that the state government is committed to addressing their concerns and will continue to press the Centre for an immediate solution. Farmers’ interests, he stressed, remain the government’s top priority.
