BCCI Vice-President Rajiv Shukla clarified that Team India stars Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are not considering retirement anytime soon. Addressing recent speculation about their international careers, Shukla questioned the urgency behind such rumors. He emphasized that both players continue to perform at the highest level and remain crucial to the Indian cricket team.

“Currently, Kohli is extremely fit and delivering consistent performances. Similarly, Rohit is also excelling in all formats of the game,” Shukla stated. He further criticized unnecessary commentary suggesting otherwise, calling it baseless and unfair to both players.

Shukla’s remarks aim to reassure fans and cricket enthusiasts that the Indian team will continue to benefit from the experience, skill, and leadership of these two stalwarts for years to come. Kohli and Rohit remain committed to contributing to India’s success on the global stage, and there is no need for immediate retirement speculation.
