Opposition’s Strategy in First Assembly Session

Opposition’s strategy meeting in Bihar Assembly

The opposition’s strategy will shape the first Assembly session of Nitish Kumar’s new government, which starts on December 1. The newly elected MLAs will take oath during this five-day session. The opposition’s strategy will focus on how to counter the government’s agenda and highlight public issues.

The Speaker of the Assembly will be elected on the first days of the session. Later, the Governor will address the House, and financial matters will be discussed. Before this begins, all MLAs of the Grand Alliance will meet on Saturday to decide their action plan.

RJD MLAs will hold their meeting at Ek Polo Road under Tejashwi Prasad Yadav’s leadership. The winning MLAs of Congress and Left parties will join later. These meetings aim to create a united stand inside the House.

The Grand Alliance will also finalise Tejashwi’s role as the Leader of the Opposition. The parties will decide whether they should take a strong and aggressive stand against the government.

RJD leaders are reviewing the recent electoral defeat. They have collected reports from different divisions, including Purnia, Magadh, Saran, and Kosi. Party leaders also discussed issues like government schemes and the role of Jeevika Didis in the elections.
