Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan stated that foreigners understand Sathya Sai Baba’s greatness more than many Indians. He said Chinese devotees keep his photos and idols at home for worship. He recalled that a well-known Hollywood director once asked Chiranjeevi for Sathya Sai Baba’s darshan. Pawan expressed surprise at the global admiration for Sai Baba’s spiritual power.
He said Sathya Sai Baba transformed the drought-hit Anantapur region by providing safe drinking water. According to him, the Jal Jeevan Mission launched under Prime Minister Modi drew inspiration from Sai Baba’s water projects. He praised Sai Baba for choosing a backward district like Anantapur as his birthplace. He said the region gained global recognition because of him.
Pawan added that Sathya Sai Baba influenced many people across the world. He mentioned that a senior IAS officer travels to Puttaparthi during holidays to offer service. He said devotees from several countries continue to follow Sai Baba’s teachings. Many of them regularly visit India to take part in activities.
He also noted that cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar was inspired by Sathya Sai Baba’s messages. Pawan said the spiritual leader’s impact on society remains strong even today. He added that his teachings continue to guide millions.
