Petrol Stations Closed on Sundays from May 14 has become a major topic of discussion across the country. Reports say fuel stations in several states may remain closed every Sunday as part of efforts to save fuel and protect the environment.
The proposal suggests that petrol stations closed on Sundays could be implemented first in eight states. These include Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Puducherry, Maharashtra, and Haryana. The plan aims to reduce unnecessary fuel usage and cut carbon emissions.
The idea follows calls to conserve fuel and encourage responsible vehicle usage. Leaders have also highlighted the need to reduce wastage of petroleum products and promote eco-friendly practices.
However, there is still no official circular from the central petroleum ministry or oil companies confirming the decision. Motorists are advised to check with local petrol pumps for updates before planning fuel refills.
