PM Modi Urges Citizens to Exercise Their Right to Vote on National Voters’ Day
Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged citizens to actively participate in democratic processes, saying that being a voter is the greatest privilege of every citizen. He made these remarks on the occasion of National Voters’ Day, celebrated every year on January 25 to mark the foundation day of the Election Commission of India.
PM Modi said that voting is not just a right but also a responsibility. He encouraged people, especially young voters, to register themselves and take part in elections to strengthen democracy. The Prime Minister also highlighted the role of free and fair elections in shaping the future of the country and in empowering citizens to choose their leaders.
National Voters’ Day aims to create awareness about the importance of voting and to ensure that every eligible citizen exercises their right to vote. Officials said various programs and campaigns are organized across India to celebrate the day and motivate people to participate in elections.
