RJD candidate Satyendra Sah was arrested in Sasaram after he filed his nomination for the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. Police caught him as he came out of the Returning Officer’s office.
According to officials, Sah faces charges in a murder case in Garhwa, Jharkhand. The case number is 320/04. Police said a permanent warrant was already issued. He did not apply for bail. His name was not mentioned in the form.
The police arrested him under Sections 395, 397, and 120B of the Indian Penal Code. Sub-Divisional Police Officer Dilip Kumar confirmed that further action is underway.
This arrest has become a major setback for RJD. Party leaders are worried about its effect on local voters. The arrest has also slowed down the RJD campaign in Sasaram.
Opposition leaders are using this issue to attack the Grand Alliance. Many voters now question the RJD’s candidate choices.
The situation has created tension in the region as elections near. Police are maintaining tight security to prevent further disturbance.
