RJD youth district president Vinay Sahu arrested by Lakhisarai police during investigation

RJD youth district president Vinay Sahu arrested in Lakhisarai has drawn fresh attention to a months-old kidnapping case and the unrest that followed it. RJD youth district president Vinay Sahu arrested after police linked him to a road blockade that caused major public inconvenience.

Police in Lakhisarai, Bihar, took Vinay Kumar Sahu into custody on Saturday night. He serves as the youth district president of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), led by Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav.

Officers arrested him near Lali Pahari under the Kabaiya police station area. Police say he helped create a ruckus by blocking a key road during protests connected to a kidnapping case.

The incident dates back a few months. Angry residents blocked Pachna Road for nearly five hours after Sikandar Kumar, a local resident, went missing. Traffic came to a standstill, and commuters faced serious trouble.

Police later filed an FIR against several people involved in the blockade. Vinay Sahu’s name appeared in the case during the investigation.

After his arrest, police brought him to the station and completed legal formalities. Officials said the investigation continues, and teams are searching for other accused named in the case.
