Samrat Chaudhary Eyes First Win in Tarapur

Samrat Chaudhary in Tarapur

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary in Tarapur is contesting the Assembly seat in Munger district for the first time. This election is crucial as it marks his debut from his home district. Earlier, he served as MLA twice from Parbatta in Khagaria. The Tarapur constituency, held by JDU for 15 years, was once represented by his father, Shakuni Chaudhary, and mother, Parvati Devi. Samrat now aims to reclaim his family’s legacy.

The Grand Alliance has fielded Arun Kumar Saw (RJD) from Asarganj, who earlier gave a tough fight in the 2021 by-election. The Jan Suraj Party has nominated Dr. Santosh Kumar Singh, making the contest three-cornered and intense.

Key voter groups include Kushwaha, Yadav, Bind, and Vaishya communities. NDA highlights development work, while RJD focuses on Tejashwi Yadav’s job promise. Jan Suraj is campaigning against migration and unemployment.

Local issues like poor roads, drain construction, waterlogging in Harpur West Bahiyar, and irrigation problems remain major concerns. After three decades, the BJP’s lotus symbol will again appear on EVMs. Voting in Tarapur will be held on November 6.
