Storm rain and hailstorm in Bihar may affect several districts in the coming days as weather conditions change across the state. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert and warned people to stay cautious.
According to the weather department, storm rain and hailstorm in Bihar are likely in many northern and eastern districts. Thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds may also occur. Wind speeds could reach around 40–50 km per hour during the storm.
Districts such as Kishanganj, Araria, Purnia, and Supaul may see rain along with hailstorms. Similar weather conditions may also affect Patna, Madhepura, Jamui, Khagaria, Jehanabad, and Banka.
The sudden weather change may bring relief from the recent heat. Temperatures may drop slightly after rainfall in affected areas.
Officials have advised district administrations to stay alert. Local authorities may also spread awareness through public announcements and social media to keep residents informed about the changing weather.
