Senior officials have directed district education officers to review the situation and submit reports quickly. Authorities may take action against schools that failed to update the data on time.

The minister said the government handled transfers based on subject requirements and available vacancies. Because of this process, officials could not meet every personal request. He added that about 80 percent of teachers accepted their new postings without complaint.

Officials found mistakes in student details on the e-Shiksha Kosh portal across many government schools. These errors involve students from Classes 1 to 10 and directly affect clothing grants, scholarships and bicycle benefits.

The department earlier fixed 15 February as the last date but later extended it to 28 February. Authorities want schools to ensure that no eligible child loses financial support.

Common errors include wrong names, incorrect Aadhaar numbers, spelling mistakes in parents’ names and inaccurate dates of birth. Teachers and school staff are now reviewing records and updating the portal quickly.

Education officials have urged district officers to monitor the process closely and complete corrections before the deadline.

Earlier, teachers applied for transfers on the portal before the assembly elections. A total of 41,684 teachers selected three districts each, and 24,732 received their preferred district. Later, 9,849 teachers reapplied with three new district choices, and 2,439 of them were allotted districts. Overall, 27,732 teachers have now been transferred.

One block from the five selected by each teacher will be allotted. Teachers will get school postings based on vacancy and subject. Disabled female teachers will receive the highest priority. If no vacancy exists in the selected blocks, teachers will be shifted to other blocks.

Teachers who fail to submit block choices will lose district allotment. Priority will go first to regular teachers, then special teachers, and finally school teachers. Older and disabled teachers of both genders will also get preference. Final posting depends on subject-wise and class-wise vacancies.
