In the ongoing Bihar elections, Tej Pratap Yadav brand in himself has become a hot topic. The eldest son of Lalu Prasad Yadav, Tej Pratap, was expelled from the RJD and launched his own party, Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD). He is contesting from the Mahua seat and has fielded several JJD candidates across Bihar.
During his campaign in Mahua, Tej Pratap drew attention with a unique roadshow featuring a man dressed as Mahatma Gandhi. His campaign style reflected his admiration for Gandhian ideals. Speaking to media, Tej Pratap Yadav brand in himself remarked that Akhilesh Yadav “may be in his own place, but I am a brand in my own right.”
He firmly stated he would never rejoin RJD, even declaring he’d “rather die than return.” The political contest in Mahua is tense, with Tej Pratap facing RJD’s Mukesh Kumar Roshan. Former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav may campaign for Roshan, adding more heat to the race. Once a health minister in Nitish Kumar’s cabinet, Tej Pratap is now fighting independently to prove his strength.
