A Vaishali road accident on Tuesday morning left three people dead and eight injured. The Vaishali road accident happened near Ramnagar Chowk in the Kartaha police station area on the Hajipur-Lalganj main road. A bus and a tempo collided head-on, causing massive destruction.
Locals rushed to help the victims and took the injured to Sadar Hospital in Hajipur. Two of the deceased were identified as Mohammad Dilsher from Shyamchak in Kazipur police station limits, and Rajgir Kumar Sah from Rahimpur village in Vaishali.
The impact was so strong that the tempo was crushed completely. People nearby heard loud screams, and many gathered to rescue those trapped inside the auto-rickshaw.
Police reached the spot soon after receiving information. They rescued the injured with the help of locals and shifted those with serious injuries to Hajipur Sadar Hospital for advanced treatment. Officials have seized the bus. The driver ran away after the crash and is now being searched for.
