AP: Venkata Ramireddy, President of the Government Employees Federation, criticized the coalition government for failing to provide any Dearness Allowance (DA) to employees over the past 16 months. He highlighted that employee union leaders are being denied appointments with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, leaving workers directionless and frustrated.
Ramireddy recalled that previously, advisors and officials actively listened to and addressed employee concerns, ensuring that their grievances were acknowledged. He emphasized the struggles faced by village and ward secretariat staff, noting that their protests have gone largely unaddressed. Similarly, he extended support to teachers participating in demonstrations for fair treatment and timely benefits.
Ramireddy urged the government to restore communication channels with employee representatives and take immediate steps to provide pending dues and DA, ensuring that government employees feel valued, supported, and secure in their roles. His comments reflect growing discontent among the state’s workforce.
