Fire Booths in Bihar Villages to Prevent Arson Incidents

Fire booths in Bihar villages with firefighting equipment to prevent arson

The Bihar government has announced a new safety initiative called fire booths in Bihar villages to prevent frequent arson and fire accidents in rural areas. Officials say fire booths in Bihar villages will help people respond quickly to fires before they spread and cause major damage.

During summer, strong winds and rising temperatures often increase fire incidents in rural areas. Fire engines from cities often take time to reach villages, which leads to heavy losses of property and sometimes lives. The new plan aims to solve this problem by creating local firefighting support.

Under the scheme, every panchayat will have a fire booth placed at a public location. These booths will store essential firefighting tools such as fire beaters, water tanks, buckets, ropes, and axes.

Local youth will receive training to act as first responders during emergencies and help authorities control fires quickly. Officials will also run awareness campaigns and safety advisories to help villagers prevent fire accidents.
