Hyderabad Heavy Rains Alert remains in effect after intense rainfall flooded several parts of the city on Friday. Roads in many localities went under water, causing traffic jams and making travel difficult for commuters.
Several low-lying areas reported waterlogging as drains overflowed due to continuous rain. Traffic moved slowly on major roads, while residents faced inconvenience during peak hours. Civic officials monitored the situation and deployed emergency teams to clear waterlogged stretches.
According to weather officials, Hyderabad Heavy Rains Alert may continue for the next few hours. Areas including Uppal, LB Nagar, Nagole, Malkajgiri, Vanasthalipuram, Kukatpally, Hitech City, and surrounding localities could receive moderate to heavy rainfall. Weather experts have also warned of thunderstorms and gusty winds in parts of the city.
Authorities advised residents to avoid unnecessary travel, especially in flood-prone and low-lying areas. Emergency teams remain on standby as the city prepares for more rain.
