The Election Officer, R.V. Karnan, announced a complete ban on exit polls in connection with the Jubilee Hills by-election. The restriction will be in force from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM on November 6, covering all media platforms including television, radio, newspapers, social media, and digital outlets. The measure is aimed at ensuring free and fair polling without influencing voters through premature survey results.

Karnan also warned that violating the Election Commission’s rules could lead to serious legal consequences, including up to two years of imprisonment, a fine, or both. The Election Commission has appealed to all media houses and individuals to strictly follow the guidelines to maintain the sanctity of the electoral process.

The polling for the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election is scheduled to take place on November 11, with counting and results expected soon after.
