Former Chevella MLA Konda Lakshma Reddy passed away early this morning at the age of 84. He had been suffering from prolonged illness and breathed his last at around 5:30 a.m. at a private hospital in Hyderabad. His final rites will be performed this afternoon at 3:00 p.m. at the Mahaprasthanam crematorium in Jubilee Hills.
Lakshma Reddy was a respected political figure who served in several key roles during the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh era, including as an APCC representative and chairman of the Grievance Cell.
Over the decades, he remained an active voice in state politics, known for his commitment to public service. He contested the Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency in both 1999 and 2014 but was unsuccessful. His death marks the end of a long and dedicated political journey, and condolences have been pouring in from leaders across party lines.
