Former Minister Harish Rao criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, accusing them of bringing disrepute to the state by making inconsistent statements on the Krishna water share. He claimed their lack of knowledge could lead to losing Telangana’s rightful water allocation. Harish recalled that former CM KCR had firmly demanded 763 TMC water share in the past. He accused Revanth of remaining silent on Banakacherla project due to fear of Chandrababu Naidu (CBN), but now failing to oppose Karnataka’s Almatti dam raising for the sake of aligning with the Indian National Congress (INC) government there. Harish emphasized that such contradictory behavior undermines Telangana’s interests and damages its reputation nationally. He urged the current leadership to take a firm, principled stand on inter-state water disputes instead of political compromises.
