Kabaddi promoter murder planned details have surfaced as photos of the shooters who killed Rana Blachauria emerged in Mohali. Police identified the accused as Aditya Kapoor, also known as Makhan, and Karan Pathak. Investigators say the killers executed the attack with detailed planning and external support.
Mohali Police revealed that the conspiracy involved more than just the shooters. Several individuals tracked Blachauria’s movements during the kabaddi tournament. Informers allegedly shared real-time updates despite police presence at the venue. Officers are now searching for a third shooter and those who arranged logistics.
People close to Blachauria said he had received repeated threats linked to kabaddi tournaments. The warnings targeted his team and associates instead of him directly. Sources said rivals tried to pressure him into withdrawing his team from competitions.
According to SSP Harmandeep Hans, both shooters belong to Amritsar. Aditya Kapoor faces 13 FIRs, while Karan Pathak has two cases registered against him. Police are verifying their full criminal history. Investigators also linked both men to the Bambiha gang, associated with gangsters Lucky Patial and Donny Bal.
The Bambiha gang claimed responsibility for the murder. The group alleged that Blachauria sheltered those involved in singer Sidhu Moosewala’s killing. Police continue probing the claims and the wider criminal network behind the attack.
