President Murmu Highlights Expanding India–Angola Partnership
During her state visit to Luanda, President Droupadi Murmu said there are “unlimited possibilities” to strengthen India–Angola relations across key sectors such as energy, agriculture, food processing, and medicines. She noted that the two countries, marking 40 years of diplomatic ties, can further collaborate in areas like critical minerals, diamond processing, and renewable energy.
Murmu also emphasized India’s willingness to share expertise in digital infrastructure, financial inclusion, and technology-driven governance to support Angola’s development goals. Her visit—the first ever by an Indian President to Angola—signals India’s growing engagement with Africa beyond traditional energy cooperation.
Reaffirming the nations’ friendship, Murmu said the partnership is rooted in shared values of solidarity and mutual growth. Both sides expressed commitment to deepen trade, investment, and people-to-people exchanges, opening a new chapter in bilateral cooperation.
