The Rabri Devi bungalow dispute has created fresh tension in Bihar politics. The state government asked former Chief Minister Rabri Devi to vacate her home at 10 Circular Road. She will shift to a new government bungalow. The Rabri Devi bungalow dispute quickly turned political.
RJD leaders criticised the decision. They claimed the move showed unfair treatment by the government. Rohini Acharya, daughter of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi, reacted strongly on social media. She said no order can remove her mother from the hearts of Bihar’s people. Her message targeted the Nitish Kumar government for what she called an unnecessary action.
Rohini also defended her father, Lalu Prasad Yadav. She wrote that insulting him hurts millions who admire him. She said that people may force someone out of a house, but they cannot erase their emotional bond with Bihar.
Earlier, RJD spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav blamed the BJP for influencing the decision. He said the action looked like political revenge. On the same day, all 26 ministers in Nitish Kumar’s new government received government bungalows. Thirteen got new ones, and thirteen received older ones.
The dispute has now turned into a heated political battle.
