Seven Brothers Sentenced to Life Imprisonment in 11-Year-Old Murder Case in Bihar court verdict

A court in Rohtas district of Bihar has delivered a major verdict in an old criminal case. Seven Brothers Sentenced to Life Imprisonment in 11-Year-Old Murder Case after the court found them guilty of killing a man during a land dispute.

The Rohtas District Judge, Umesh Rai, announced the punishment on Monday. The court also imposed a fine of ₹20,000 on each of the seven convicted brothers. If they fail to pay the fine, they will have to serve an additional three months in jail.

According to the prosecution, the incident happened on 16 September 2014 in Chhittan Dihra village under Kochas police station. The victim, Ambika Pal, was attacked with sticks, rods, and stones while he was going to sleep outside his house after dinner.

Family members rushed him to a local hospital and later referred him to Varanasi for better treatment. However, he died on the way due to severe injuries.

During the trial, nine witnesses gave statements in court. After examining the evidence, the judge convicted the accused. The ruling ends a long legal battle in the Seven Brothers Sentenced to Life Imprisonment in 11-Year-Old Murder Case.
